The independent communication authority of South Africa […]
The independent communication authority of South Africa (ICASA) is the regulatory authority of South Africa’s national broadcasting, communication and postal services. All wireless products must obtain ICASA certification before entering the South African market. For wireless communication equipment exported to the South African market, it is necessary to apply to the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) for type certification, and can only be sold after approval. This is also equivalent to the application for ICASA certification in South Africa for domestic network access model approval. It should be noted that ICASA certification can only be issued to local registered companies or representative institutions in South Africa. Therefore, it is better for domestic manufacturers to apply for ICASA by local importers, but the test can be completed in China.
ICASA certification puts forward requirements for product technology and functions, equipment safety and electromagnetic compatibility, etc., which are mainly applicable to the following products:
Large telecommunication system;
Telecommunication network equipment;
Wireless paging equipment;
Digital Enhanced Radio Telecommunications (DECT) equipment;
