IC is the abbreviation of Industry Canada of the Ministry of Industry of Canada. As a government agency, IC is responsible for the certification of electronic and electrical products entering the Canadian market. The products in its charge are roughly divided into: radio and television equipment, information technology equipment, radio equipment, telecommunications equipment, engineering and medical equipment, etc. Similar to the FCC in the United States, IC currently only limits electromagnetic interference.

Application process
The manufacturer or agent submits an oral or written preliminary application to the certification company.
The applicant shall fill in the application form, send the application form, product instructions and technical documents to the certification company together, and provide a prototype if necessary.
The certification company draws up a plan and makes a quotation.
The applicant confirms the quotation, signs the quotation back, and sends the samples and relevant technical documents to the certification company.
The applicant shall provide technical documents.
The certification company sends a charge notice to the applicant, and the applicant pays the certification fee in advance according to the charge notice.
The certification company reviews the technical documents and organizes relevant certification activities.
If the technical documents are incomplete or do not use the specified language, the certification company will notify the applicant for improvement.
If the test fails, the certification company will notify the applicant in time and allow the applicant to improve the product according to the decision on whether to suspend the project. The applicant shall change the technical data in the original application to reflect the actual situation after the change.
The certification company will issue a supplementary charge notice to the applicant for the rectification costs involved in items 9 and 10 on this page.
The applicant shall pay the rectification fee according to the supplementary charge notice.
The certification company provides the applicant with test reports or technical documents and certificates.
